The Turnip

Once upon a time an old man planted a turnip.

The turnip grew up big and tall.

The old man was ready to pull it out of the ground. So he bent and he grabbed and he pulled as hard as he could – the turnip was stuck and wasn’t about to come out.

The old man called for the old woman. The old woman came to help. The old woman grabbed onto the old man. The old man grabbed onto the turnip. They tugged and they pulled. They yanked and they pulled. They pulled and they pulled. They pulled as hard as they could – the turnip was stuck in the ground. The turnip didn’t come out.

The old woman called for a granddaughter. The granddaughter came out to help. The granddaughter grabbed onto the old woman. The old woman grabbed onto the old man. The old man grabbed onto the turnip. They tugged and they pulled. They yanked and they pulled. They pulled and they pulled. They pulled as hard as they could – the turnip was stuck in the ground. The turnip didn’t come out.

The granddaughter called for a Puppy the dog. Puppy the dog came out to help. Puppy the dog grabbed onto the granddaughter. The granddaughter grabbed onto the old woman. The old woman grabbed onto the old man. The old man grabbed onto the turnip. They tugged and they pulled. They yanked and they pulled. They pulled and they pulled. They pulled as hard as they could – the turnip was stuck in the ground. The turnip didn’t come out.

Puppy the dog called for Mary the cat. Mary the cat came out to help. Mary the cat grabbed onto Puppy the Dog. Puppy the dog grabbed onto the granddaughter. The granddaughter grabbed onto the old woman. The old woman grabbed onto the old man. The old man grabbed onto the turnip. They tugged and they pulled. They yanked and they pulled. Mary the cat called for a Tweenky the mouse. Tweenky the mouse came out to help. Tweenky the mouse grabbed onto Mary the cat. Mary the cat grabbed onto Puppy the Dog. Puppy the dog grabbed onto the granddaughter. The granddaughter grabbed onto the old woman. The old woman grabbed onto the old man. The old man grabbed onto the turnip. They tugged and they pulled.
